On the new license, if you look upper right hand corner theres a star meaning you are verified because you showed whatever you needed to to verify your identity. Now it can be used for certain things that need to verify your identity with out all the extra paper work.
I'm not sure of what you need but I do know you bring two pieces of recent mail. But not sure what else. I think there are instructions with your renewal notice
