I am expecting to meet two unaccompanied minor grandsons who have not flown alone before. Would I be permitted to get a gate pass to met them at their arrival gate?

Should not be an issue. Just let them know that you are meeting a minor.

You should be able to arrange someone to walk then out to you. When they get off the plane they're is only one way to go out
