Hi Phyllis - You can call our facility and ask to speak with Admissions. They can assist you in your care questions. Sincerely, CareOne Management
Hi Phyllis, I was in the ER and in need of acute care after surgery. A coordinator from my insurance company and a social worker from CareOne communicated to help facilitate my care. I don't know how Medicaid works, but you can try talking with them first to find out if CareOne is available for your husband, and see if they will reach out to find out if there is space. You can also call CareOne and see if they can set you up with a social worker or case manager for a point of contact for updates on admission, etc. They are very extraordinary from my experience.
Was your neighbor I’ll did she fall from
Based upon the experience of our family, I would advise anyone to stay away from CareOne at Valley, unless they want their loved ones to end up with a grade four bedsore exposing their coxis bone, and contract C-diff, without being quarantined! A neighbor of mine went to rehab at CareOne at Valley, after breaking her elbow, and within a matter of weeks or a month, she was dead! CareOne at Evesham is already on this Special Facility Focus list, under review for closure. I fully expect CareOne at Valley to follow suit in the not-too-distant future. To people who have a loved one at CareOne at Valley: Get them out of there! Based upon extensive research, the only quality nursing homes in Bergen County, are the Armenian home in Emerson (hires only registered nurses) and the Jewish Home at Rockleigh. Don't confuse the Armenian home with the Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center, on Kinderkamack Road. Based upon our experiences, that nursing home is the WORST of the WORST 😭!
