The noodles are good. Thick, well cooked and not soggy or overdone. The chicken yaki udon has regular chicken in it. The nabeyaki udon comes with a side of shrimp tempura.
I usually go for the shrimp yaki udon and the shrimp is stir fry with the noodles, I can only assume the chicken is prepared in the same manner. They are very nice and accommodating so, as long as they aren't super busy, I'm sure they wouldn't mind making it with chicken tempura if you ask them.
Udon just like everything else it's good at tsuki.
