There are public parking garages and street parking (if you're lucky)
Petition the Parking Gods when attempting to find parking on the street. Parking garages not too far from the venue. $$
You may also take the metro to L'Enfant plaza/VRE. On the street you can catch the Southwest Shuttle bus that runs every ten minutes on a small loop which takes you right to the Wharf. Used it this weekend and was pleasantly surprised.
