On-street parking in DC is metered and hard to come by. There is an app called parkmobile that can be used to pay. Don't bark at a parking meter with a red top unless you have a state-issued handicapped parking permit; you don't want to have to deal with the bureau of parking enforcement. Early bird deals are available at many garages, but plan for $30/day. Metro is the better option, but steer clear of Virginia hotels near the Blue line in 2019 because of a rail closure.
Yeah on street parking that is good for 2/3 hours but parking garages for day for 22 dollars
