That is funny Marie. I have AT&T, ADT, JEA, used to pay rent online, and all of them came with convenience fees. I've lived in Florida for 21 yrs...must be nice you never got charged.

Our payment processor charges us for the ability to allow our customer’s to pay by card or e-check and we pass this fee onto our customers who choose these payment methods. A processing fee to pay with credit card or e-check is an industry standard, and most utility companies charge a convenience fee that allows your payments to post immediately to your account. However, we offer other ways you can pay without fee. You can pay through your bank’s online bill pay, through our ACH autodraft program, or by mailing in a check or money order.
