Bring your: -- social security card -- US birth certificate or green card or US passport -- the Texas license has to have been issued at least 6 months from the day you apply for a NYS license and not be expired more than 2 years These are the general requirements. Go to the dmv...they will determine if you need to take a road test. You definitely have to take the written . You have to go to them
