How likely am I to see a Black Bear? Do you know the best places to bears in the park? Of course, from a safe distance. Thanks.

I saw a small Black Bear 🐻 here many years ago, but it's pretty unlikely that you'd run across one in this park. I've seen them on pretty much every trip I've taken further out into Western Maryland though. Primarily in Green ridge Forest and up around Deep Creek lake. Although I'm not aware of any specific place that's set up for "bear watching", these are the best places I know of to recommend. Be very careful if you venture out in search of these guys in the wild!

There are signs to look out for bears. Think you will be ok

The likely hood is pretty slim but there is a possibility
