Is the fee being held on a credit card mandatory for incidentals? I only have my visa debit card and really do not want funds being held. Thank you

Yes. I used a credit card. They held $100 on my card for 2 nights. I spent $121...so the hold came off after checkout when they put the charge through. It was nice that they told me the hold at the desk when I checked in. Expect a larger hold for more days. The resort fee is not charged using hotwire, hotels.com etc. So they need to hold at least $28 per day per room. Self Parking is $10 a day and valet $15 so they hold that too. Figure on $50 a day. Hope that helps.

Yes

Yes it is mandatory. At the Caribe Royale, we place an authorization hold on your card for the total of the suite and additional for incidental charges. We hold an additional $30.00 per day on credit cards, $50.00 on per day on debit cards and $100.00 per day on cash deposits. If you have any further questions about the holds, please contact us directly and we will be more than happy to assist you. The aforementioned procedure is standard at many hotels and rental car companies. Guest Relations
