As long as it's under 3oz, they don't care what type of bottle it is. As long as the substance is not restricted itself. To ensure they don't stop you for a weird reason, put it in a zip lock bag. I also like to unscrew the lid, put a piece of plastic wrap on the nozzle, and the screw the cap back on top of the plastic wrap. Then I put it in a zip lock just in case. The plastic wrap acts like a sealant as if it were a new unopened bottle. Works every time for spilling. I've brought in tea tree oil and foundation makeup in glass bottles with no problem.
