What about drops. Our Boston took 6 months of drops but her eye healed.
Where are you located? My Vet can make eye drops using your dog's own stem cell that can heal the ulcer within days. It's amazing! I've had him help me with two of my pugs. The medicine is about $100, far less than surgery. Then after the drops have done their job, he'll prescribe another drop to help with any scarring, about another $100. Still less than surgery. He's located in McKinney, Stonebridge Animal Hospital, Dr. Mapes. Good luck.
