We adopted a dog Friday and it was in desperate need of a bath. We planned on bathing her when we brought her home but turns out she hadn't been spayed yet and we can't get her until the spay her. Will they bathe her before her surgery?

I imagine with the 200+ animals in the building and new ones coming in every 10-15 minutes, they aren’t able to bathe adopted pets. Im sure they’d love to bathe each and every animal that comes into their care, but it’s just a realistic matter of time and resources and staffing! They have SO much on their plates, I imagine!

I did call and asked and they said if there is time.... They had all weekend and a week day to do so and didn't. They were annoyed with my request as well.

Best thing to do is call the animal shelter and request ur newly adopted pet gets a bath before she is spayed...they will advise you on if they are able to accommodate your request
