You have to have it checked out, and not 2nd guess why it stopped working !
Without an analysis of the unit it's impossible to know what the exact problem is. From your question, I can think of 3 possibilities, 1 It's electric 2 It's made by Kobalt 3 I would guess it's out of warranty. Suggestion, either take it in to find out what the problem is or trash it and start over. Sorry I couldn't be more optimistic, just wanted to be honest.
