There are 3 major reasons why it takes so long to fix a car. 1. Look at the engine compartment. In it you will see everything inside it is very compact. It does take a long time to get to some parts because the parts surrounding it may need to be removed to get to the repair. 2. Parts are not generic meaning that one part does Not work in each manufacturers car or truck. When the right part is found by a SKU number, it may need to be shipped in from another state. 3. Shortage of Outstanding ASE Mechanics. The average age is 59 yrs old. Collin College has recently opened a trades school to help rebuild the trades industry.

Hey Kris, this could depend on so many different things about the state of your car and perhaps the activity at The Auto Shop while your car is there. I generally hold the belief that they will service your vehicle as best as they can in the quickest appropriate time that still ensures quality service. That being said, this Q&A section may not be the best place to get an answer from the business itself. While I can't say that they won't respond here, I'd encourage contacting them more directly for better results. Good luck!
