Men and women are treated and sleep on the same units. Men and women DO NOT EVER share rooms, and when possible are roomed on opposite sides of the units, separated by a staffed nursing station. Staff are trained to use Traume informed Care strategies, and are constantly, actively monitoring hallways ensuring safety of the patients.
It changes a lot. They were separated but then they weren’t. It was very confusing, but boys and girls are never in the same sleeping room together
