If the child is at risk for harming themselves or others, the police or an ambulance must take them to the ER and have them 302. From there they will be transported to a mental health facility. If it's an adult the police or ambulance must take them to the hospital. If mental health is an issue they can be committed without their consent.

Do you mean without their consent probably not. If they are willing then yes but forcing them no because that makes it worse
