You do not need a certain license. If you have committed certain crimes or are a convicted felon then you cannot possess or shoot a gun. You must be at least 21 years old to rent a handgun, 18 years old to rent a rifle or a machine gun. The minimum age to shoot in our range is 8 years old. Shooters younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by and supervised by a responsible adult. We have range safety officers to help new shooters. If you are hunting animals then you must have a license issued by the state.

No license is required in Idaho, you just cant be a felon or other prohibited person. You need to be 18 years old or be accompanied by a guardian or parent.
