I have never made a reservation. I don't think that they take them.
Depends when you go. Late night, early morning you could probably walk right in and pick an area where you could move a couple tables together. I remember a lot of booths. During busy hrs. i.e. regular b'fast, lunch, dinner it's best to call ahead.
