I would say contact the corporate office and request a transfer to another store if possible. Explain what is going on with the assistant manager and see what they can do. If they can do nothing or won't do anything and I would say leave the company go to another store and apply.

If you quite without giving a two week notice you can never work for Dollar Tree again.
