There are many options of food at camp. Vegan, vegitarian, dairy free, gluten free and even nut/seed free. Most of the cooks are from different parts of the world, and usually bring in food from their culture. At every meal there are many amazing options to choose from. There are also very traditional meals. Camp ballibay provides healthy, home cooked meals for each and every camper. The camp also has a garden, and most times the campers can harvest items from the garden and use them in meals. In the rare event that a camper doesn't like anything that is being served, they may ask a kitchen staff member for something and they will gladly make it for them. You can expect new and and well known meals that campers love.
We are a “foodie” camp, serving healthy, diverse, locally-sourced meals made from scratch. Our goal is to have the best camp foodservice anywhere. We grow a meaningful amount of our produce on campus in our garden, and interested campers help in the garden and in our food education program preparing snacks for the whole camp. In 2012 our foodservice was featured in the New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/11/dining/at-summer-camp-young-foodies-raise-the-bar.html
