Expense of importing fresh seafood I'd imagine. Shrimp, oysters, even lobster are a lower 48 product. While King Crab must be imported from Alaska, where there's no roads except through Canada, thus shipping makes it way more expensive. Also making it harder to get for Smaller non "chain" restaurants. Unless it's Red Lobster I'd question how they got it and how fresh seafood is before ordering it.
