Took my 13 yr old daughter yesterday for a cracked tooth extraction with Dr?.Mike since everywhere else was booked out for months, once we got in they did a whole mouth x-ray and then preceded to tell us that she has 13 cavities and they're going fill 7 and the do tooth extraction which she just went to her regular dentist a month prior and had only 1 total. Once we said no to the cavity fillings he refused to pull the tooth that was hurting after they already put numbing cream on and said it was a liability, there were not 13 cavities and he was trying to add more work just so he can bill out since the insurance was paying all of it. So he made a kid suffer for longer because he couldn't bill out and make more money.

In reply to Brian, actually...So $170 for the teeth. I would guess cost for numbing and dental supplies (gauze, gloves, the drape around your neck!) as well as the hourly wages of your dentist and dental hygienist... I would ask for an itemized statement so you know EXACTLY what you were charged, and what you paid for...and make sure you were not OVERcharged...accidently of course!

No they do not. Matter of fact the dentist that I seen made what he wanted to make not my choice. And I paid cash. I'm on limited income
