I also had a problem with mold developing in a "store brand, fresh made" item, before the sell-by date. It was the nacho chip dip that has the onions and beans and tomatoes and cheese that is packaged by Tony's. Truly tho, one of the rare occurrences of my being dissatisfied with anything I've purchased from Tony's, and in actuality, I am a long haul trucker and restock my truck whenever I'm in Chicago, exclusively at Tony's, because my overall experience there is hands down better than anywhere else I've found, anywhere in the country, and I am routinely all over the country, coast to coast. I actually pick up extra bags of Tony's chips and salsa and guacamole because my family has become rather spoiled by their awesomeness:)
I really can't say that has been my experience.
Well I believe not all equally made so if it spoils. It may have a hole in the package before you brought it just make sure next time you check for holes in any package cause even tiny ones can effect the product if it has been sitting there .also if it's a sauce and it spoils its probably the temperature you had it in after opening it especially if its freshly made in Tony's cause other brands has ingredients that help it preserve its product.
I had this problem just yesterday with their foccaccia.
