I plan on coming alone. On the website it states you do not rent to single parties - does this mean that I just need to also pay for a Range Safety Officer to accompany me? Or is it no single parties under any circumstances? I'm also from the UK.

I believe it just means the range officer comes out and watches you shoot. Theres usually one out there watching everyone anyway so it wont be awkward and you wont stand out! No extra fee far as I know. - a member at the range

If you are renting as a single party, then yes you will need to pay for an RSO to be present. Just be sure to bring in a valid passport.
