Is this a "safe" area to park a vehicle to get to the city? Has anyone experienced and negative thoughts? I will be transferring to university next year from community college.

I've been commuting from this station for several years and have not heard negative reports or experienced any concerning situations. There are many daily commuters consisting of workers and students who use the station, so it's far from desolate.

I commute from this station daily. The area is safe, and the parking lots are well lit. I have never had any concerns.

Yes its very safe at Downingtown , most of the Septa parking lots and pretty much good .

I also have used this station and its parking lots for ten years. No problems.
