Downingtown Station going through on the rails.

Station is OK. Like other more needy SEPTA stations that are finally getting renovations (Exton, Paoli to name two) this SEPTA/Amtrak station could use a facelift. As I write this, the main stairs to the outbound platform to Center City Philly has been closed for repairs for 3 weeks. No sign of any progress to fix it. Parking is $1.00 in coins to be dropped in spot number box at platform. Spots gets filled over rush hour. Fortunately, there are designated additional spaces across the street at a community park. The $1.00 fee for those are paid for using electronic meters that take cash or credit (can pay for multiple days or the month as an option).

I've been commuting from this station for several years and have not heard negative reports or experienced any concerning situations. There are many daily commuters consisting of workers and students who use the station, so it's far from desolate.
Yes, get off at Suburban Station.
