I would say fairly safe although the trail's biggest crime deterrent--tons of other people--is not present at night. Though you will see a fairly steady stream of bikers and joggers after sunset. There are security cameras (not monitored 24 hour, help locator signs to key in your location on the trail to a 911 dispatcher. There are also several outlets (stairwells) where you can get to street grade in the Center City section should you feel the need to exit the trail. So, I would say the trail is safe if you're alert and use your best judgment.

Up to 8 pm there is safe after that I don't know

Agreed. Daylight hours only when the trail is well used.

It is well lit, but still the city. So, reasonably safe, but maybe keep it to early evening not actual night

Mohammed Ali el | Oct 10, 2019

It's lit but when in the city you act like your from the city and be mindful of your surroundings.
