Wow. We were looking for just that solution to our problem. No one wanted the job without dismantling the entire shower and giving us a new shower. The area that needs to be repaired is small and is due to a cracked tile. We have a 5 x 3 ft roll in shower. What would it cost to have you look at it?
A soft wall repair happens when the tile walls in the shower are mushy/soft/moving to the touch. Meaning that water got behind the tiles and the board behind the tiles are rotten. Our process in repairing is taking down sections of soft wall that have been damaged by water intrusion. We clean off the same tile, install new wall board (cement board/Durarock) and put the puzzle back together.
