No bugs when we were there. We had a little rain and that may have kept them away. Summer is the season for bugs, especially mosquitoes.

Its summertime in Kentucky. Theyre everywhere. Cant keep every single insect out. Its impossible. If you actually see roaches, they are wood roaches. Theyre very common there and nothing to actually worry about. They are typically a few shades lighter brown than an actual cockroach. They dont get into food, that isnt what theyre looking for, and they actually help control the population of bugs that you REALLY dont want around. Relax man.

I don't know what kind of bugs you are seeing, but there are bugs everywhere. I've been there when I've had very few bugs and other times when there seemed to be a lot of bugs. Matter of fact, I grew up and lived in Kendrick for 38 years. It really depends on the weather as to the bug population. I'd love to know where you have been there weren't but few bugs. As bugs are everywhere, some just more noticeable, but they are all annoying. Don't let a few bugs keep you from enjoying ask the wonderful things Frankfort and surrounding areas have to offer.
