They tell you the history and then you wander around and look at the place. It has been filled with items from the time of the murder. NOT the murdered family's actual belongings but items similar. Some photos are from the family but not much. The murders took place almost 107 years ago and no one knew there would be a morbid fascination with it so not much was saved. Of course if you go on the tour, you will hear all of the details.
The place is made to look as 1900s as possible to make you feel the life of the early 1900s
It's just a quick tour. After that, they let you take a few min to look around on your own.
The house is furnished in the style of the time, I'd assume all original furnishings are used.
