It was not. However a well guided tour and knowledgeable staff made our visit outstanding.

The latest report says that the excavation will begin again in 2-3 years.

It is not an active dig at this time. They say it will not be until they receive more funding for labs, and then have it built. The planning takes a very long time because they want to ensure no fossils, or very few, are under the new building.
