Always best to be there as recommended but this airport is small and very easy check in. Personal opinion is 1 hour before.
TSA website says to check in two hours before your scheduled departure time.
Only people going through security and checking in will be on the same flight as you.. no special lines for TSA pre or Clear, but it never takes more than 10 minutes. An hour early you'll still be looking for something to do and past security there isn't much. Our hotel is usually 5-10 minutes away.. and if we leave our hotel an hour before takeoff we still are ok.
How do you get into the handicap parking?
I agree with both, 2 hours early and you'll be very comfortable with time to browse the museum. Parking is easy and very close. 1 hour is fine to get everything done without much time to spare before boarding. Boarding can be 20-30 min before take off.
