have a voucher from cancelled flight due to covid last march cani use it toward another location or does it have to be the same itenerary

We also had a voucher from a planned trip to New York that had to be canceled. We used the voucher to travel to Illinois. Unless it's different than ours, Allegiant's vouchers are same as cash with an expiration date
