I would say the points on your current license would determine your employment with different companies, you won't land a job with any drug charges at all unless they are years old, and some companies will take DUIs and some won't, you can train and learn to get a CDL no matter what from what I can tell, I'd still ask though to make sure, I just went through the program and highly recommend it but I don't have any points
