How long should it take to receive the death certificate and personal effects back after my mother is cremated? Its been over a week.

Just call them and ask those questions. Each persons situation is different.

We received ours in about 7or 8 days.

The Certificate, I am not sure of, Vital Statistics handles it, but all of my daughters personal belongings were returned the day of service, I hope this helps, sorry for the loss of your Mom
