They never claim to be a no kill shelter. The sad truth is most of the animals they take in will be put down. They take in over 27,000 animals annually and some are aggressive or dying (that no rescue shelters will take). They desperately try to send them to rescues (which are no kill) or get them adopted. Their other objective is public education on proper animal care and low cost spay and neutering to stop the overall problem of increasing animal population. They are the only shelter for all of Fresno County so it is important to keep that in mind. It is important to volunteer your time, donate money or adopt an animal. It is poor sighted to be angry at CC SPCA. You should redirect that anger at individuals who are a part of the problem not a nonprofit that is trying to address that problem. It appears you are passionate about animals. Have you thought about volunteering?
Thats right. The shelter wouldn't be full if people would spay and neuter their pets. If you love them take time out for that.
