I'm not aware of avis shuttle at jfk. I took the air train that drops you exatly in front of Avis. I believe the name of the train stop is Fredrick Circle. On return I prepaid $25, for the curbside drop off. With this option an Avis agent will drive you to the terminal of your airlines.
