Hello, yes you can pay for your shelter here... it is safe and I have booked partys here myself https://www.lexingtonnc.gov/city-services/parks-and-recreation/parks-and-facilities/shelter-field-and-facility-reservations

Shelters can be rented in 3 hour time blocks at registration.lexingtonnc.gov. You can also see a map of the park and shelters, and check availability there!
