Good evening, Normally there is no fee for a technician's visit for services such as blood work and nail trims. A tech appointment for vaccines does need to be approved by a DVM prior to scheduling though. If your pet has recently been in with our veterinarians most likely it is fine as a tech appointment, but again is always doctor's discretion. Why? We want to practice the best medicine possible for your furry pals, and to do so we do need our vets to deem a pet healthy enough for a vaccine, that is why there is an exam charge at those times.
No I mean just a "tech" visit. Vet does not see the dog only tech. It is not an exam just vaccinations. A friend told me her vet only charges for vaccinations only. Not a separate fee just to have tech give shots.
Yes they charge a fee for what the call a "wellness exam" and then charge for whatever treatment or medication needed.
