If you don't have a bike, you'll probably want to drive the main trail and then stop for the hikes. If you stop at the center, the staff are great about telling you which trails/ ponds have been most active with birds.
There are many trails of varying length, few more than a mile. You can drive right up to Woody Pond and walk along the dike, but Dan also take the trail to the west end of the pond. Both the trail and the pond are great for birding. Goose Pond is only an 8th of a mile from the parking space, and is also terrific for birding (black-necked stilts, roseate spoonbills, glossy ibis, lesser yellowlegs, green heron, many more).
Is it possible for rehabilitation exercise??? With a rollator(walker with a seat) I’m working to regain strength thru walking.
