I went on a Sunday and only passed one other car. Great picnic spots, guided tours by phone, and fishing pier.

Great nature trail experience. I feel that some of the people there are set in their ways so I chose not to give my opinions on future projects that could possibly be developed.

This is a wonderful refuge. There are a lot of birds, wading birds, armadillos, ducks and even alligators. There are also a lot of walking trails, 4-5 miles long, on level ground. Breath taking scenic areas everywhere, love it.

If you don't have a bike, you'll probably want to drive the main trail and then stop for the hikes. If you stop at the center, the staff are great about telling you which trails/ ponds have been most active with birds.

I'm not sure where you're located but if the state won't help there are usually wild life rescue organizations that will. In the meantime keep the little guy quiet and warm. I would recommend putting some locally blooming flowers in whatever container you're keeping him in. Nectar is dinner for a hummer. Call any wildlife rescue you can find. Even if they're too far away they may be able to recommend someone closer. Keep calling . Wishing you luck.
