Shangri La in Townsend Georgia! The PERFECT park for our last night on the road! Before we drive the final 260 miles of our 32 day, 6,100+ mile adventure, we get to spend today and tonight lakeside, minutes away from I-95 yet miles away from the noise of civilization. This place is beautiful, lots of trees, lakeside and lots and lots of grass. We’re the only folks in our section (so far - it’s still early!) and we’re in slip 3. It’s level, very long, full hookups including a bunch of cable channels and there is internet available however with Dishy and four solid bars on AT&T, I didn’t even check out the hamsters - we’ll leave the bandwidth for someone else. There is a laundry, free firewood, fishing and lots of peace and quiet. Diane and the boys are loving it and so am I - we are blessed! Another RV park with one of the dumbest Weekly/Monthly reservation policies. The RV Park supports monthly reservations; however, only at their designated "Monthly" sites. Weekly and daily rates have to be paid on all other "non-monthly" sites. If you want to stay a month, you'll have to pay by the week. I'll pass. Also, you cannot use your on-board washer. Again, makes a lot of sense if you are trying to keep people away. Edited: The owner's reply to my review continues to support my review, and my opinion, which I do own. You have monthly availability, but only at a weekly rate because of a limited number of sites being designated as "Monthly" - nothing I've said in this review is untrue.

Loved this campsite. Well maintained and very clean. Great staff, friendly, helpful, and personable. Entertainment room was well stocked with games, books, computers, etc. Great for kids as well as adults. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Its not a hugh lake but bigger then a pond. I believe there was a swimming area. But check with the owners to make sure. A kayak would be good, esp if you like to fish. Also there a dock for fishing...
No, McIntosh Lake RV Park is not a clothing optional park but there is one in this county. I believe it is Native Woods.
No storage I don't think that there's an age limit very nice campground beautiful and quiet campground

It's a great clean park!! Beautiful lake, clubhouse. The owners are very nice. We have a 37' motor home pulling a car on a dolly no problem! We have made return visits here.
