Sounds like it can vary depending on specific animal circumstances. In our case, our adoption was $125 for a 7 month old medium size dog. This included all needed vaccinations to that point, micro-chipped and neutered. The experience is really great at Sarges. You can see that the pets are treated well and the staff cares.
Correct, some cats or dogs are the same adoption price which covers expenses to spay/neuter and keeping them healthy for adoption. Others have special circumstances where the fee is different. Rest assured, the cat or dog will be healthy and any special needs will be clearly stated. As a volunteer, I have high respect and appreciation for the care and love these four leggeds are given.
