At age 17 you can legally have him evicted. Although you have to go through court and have issue a notice. However being these kids state of mind & how they seek violent revenge over emotional stress. May I recommend you nurture the young man to NOT follow in his father's poor decision making footsteps. Going down the rabbit hole, throwing the teenager into a do die, hand to mouth living situation, could ruin both your lives. So easily we're losing to the elements of street life. If you can take his hand, walk him into McDonald's, Family Dollar, KFC, you know tell him "You are my step son I want you to be great & here's how WE gonna make a foundation for you to be better." I wouldn't pin his father's bad choices on him nor hold it against him nor throw it in his face. This could be the universe ,God, testing you. What you put out you will get back. Karma is real so keep love 1st. ONE
