It goes really fast if you have a job. You have to go there and talk to the staff. I went in hoping to get into the shelter till I got on my feet but instead they got me and my son our own apt cuz I had a job. It took 2 weeks. God led me to this place, they are awesome. God bless you!

I am so sorry to hear that. Nicholas house is full at this time and the process is to go to Gateway Monday through Friday and fill out there documentation. At that time they will let you know available shelters. You can also call 211 or search United Way Atlanta to see available resources. Most places are not open on the weekend. I am on vacation and I wish you the best and pray you find somerhing fast for your family.

Go through gateway center housing assessment and they'll place you where ever you best fit. 275 Pryor St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 Get there at or before 7 am and get a ticket for housing assessment, expect the process to take till 1pm ish.

They will provide a roof & food while you look for and obtain employment. And yes they accept families including single mothers and single fathers but you will have to go to Gateway first before intake.

Not at the Nicholas House. Everyone who's homeless should check in at the Gatewsy Center.. They'll tell you everything available to you. Go there. As Soon As Possible

You have to go to the Gateway Center upon arrival. Wait in line until you get a number & it is called. During your interview ask about them. They have to refer you there... Background and other tests. One week at least to get in. If there's an opening. Good luck 👍✌
