It is public land tent camps on the AT are allowed
Yeah man, anywhere... just be respectful and leave no "footprints" behind. It's a beatiful experiance and very calming! Watch out for lightning and watch out for "widow makers" always look for dead branches before I set up camp.
Jose! How you doing? There is but it's way up top. Not sure if there are any other places. You may be able to camp at the scout reservation there, and there is Blue Rocks Family Campground near by. But if you go to the Pinnacle, and then take the trail that goes through the center of the plateau, you will go through a big clearing and then end up back on a wooded trail (I believe it's the Appalachian trail) you can camp anywhere off the trail there. The only thing that would keep you from having a fire would be any local fire restrictions. But we've had a lot of rain. So... Probably fine.
Along the trails to the summit are a few places to put up a tent.
Not sure about open fires but I do know it's part of the AT and you can set camp up where you like so long as it's off trail. I think a fire needs to be in a designated spot but you could contact dcnr for better info. https://trails.dcnr.pa.gov/trails/trail/trailview?trailkey=333
There is no overnight parking at the reservoir, and no overnight camping except for through hikers. Took my family and got 2 citations. One for parking overnight and another for camping from the game warden who patrolled the trails on ATV.
