Been coming here for years with kids. Its a great place. Gets busy at times. Safe for kids of all ages. But of course..... You must keep an eye on them.
It's not deep, but the current is fast in some places and there are boulders that stick up close to the surface that you'll want to navigate around. I would say you could bring small kids if they are in life jackets and each have an adult keeping them within arm's reach.
