How do I find a physician who takes Medicare. I am a healthy 80 year-old. I live near Mt. Sinai on Fifth Ave at the corner of 97th Street in Manhattan.

There's a really good doctor on 96th street between Park Ave and Lexington. Look him up Dr. Arthur Kennish. He's both primary care and cardiac specialist. I don't know if he's accepting new patients or not. He's affiliated with Mount Sinai as well.

Most Drs accept Medicare. Call the hospital and ask for the Dept of Medicine that you are looking for. For instance, Internal Medicine, or Opthamalogy, or Oncology, or Heart Program. When they transfer you to the Dept that you want, ask if there is a physician that accepts Medicare. This is an excellent hospital. All the best.
