I have a friend arriving on Southwest Airlines and one on Delta the same day can the one on Southwest go over to the south terminal so I can pick them up at the same time or do I have to go to both terminals separately ?

As long as they can walk to the same one, you can pick them both up at once

Yes. You can easily walk from one terminal to the next. All flights exit at the same location before splitting into the terminals.
